Office Support Associate (Office & Student Program Coordinator)

The College of Architecture, Design and the Arts - School of Architecture is seeking an Office Support Associate (Office & Student Program Coordinator).

The Office & Student Program Coordinator works to organize and coordinate office administration, student programming, and facilities procedures for the School of Architecture and School of Design main Office. The incumbent will be the point of contact for incoming inquiries to the Schools as well as managing the building, classrooms, meeting schedules, and student staff. They will also serve as the administrative contact for the Schools’ student programs and organizations, including advising and providing oversight and support for student activities. This position requires accuracy and strong organizational skills, attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to manage diverse projects and interact with the public.

Requirements
Skills & Qualifications: 

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications Required:

  1. High school graduation or equivalent
  1. Any one or combination totaling eighteen (18) months from the following categories:

(a) work experience performing routine clerical/office support work, including use of computer systems

(b) vocational training that provided a knowledge of generally accepted clerical procedures

(c) college or university course work in Office Occupations, Business Administration, Business Education, or closely related fields

30 semester hours = eighteen (18) months

(d) college or university course work in any curriculum

48 semester hours = eighteen (18) months

Preferred Qualificaitons:

  • Bachelor degree in an area of the arts
  • Background in architecture and/or design
  • Excellent organizational skills and accuracy
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Acrobat Professional
  • Experience with Banner and University records systems
  • Understanding of electronics and computers in both the Mac and Windows platforms
