Moraine Valley is the home of the  Fine and Performing Arts Center offers an array of music, dance, theater, and art for all ages. Featuring the Dorothy Menker Theater, the John and Angeline Oremus Theater, and the Robert F. DeCaprio Art Gallery, the center opened its doors in 1994. The center prides itself as a showcase for performances, a catalyst for budding artists to practice their art, a center for academic preparation for two-year degrees and transfer programs, and a resource for all who love the arts and want to learn more.

The mission of the Fine and Performing Arts Center, through its public presentations of dance, music, theater and the visual arts, is to enrich the members of the college community by providing opportunities for people of all ages to experience and grow through the arts.

The Center is currently looking to fill the position of concessions staff. This position will be exposed to day to day theatre events and planning, as well as assist in making them thrive. Below are a list of duties and desired qualifications.

Requirements
Skills & Qualifications: 

Duties:

-Working on daytime and evening shows

-Assisting with the building of beverage and food carts

-Reviewing inventory and submitting reports, as needed

-Serving of alcoholic beverages

-Restocking concession stands

-Setup and teardown of concession stands, tables, and linens

-Additional duties as assigned

 

Qualification:

-Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends

-Comfortable lifting and pulling equipment up to 20lb.

-Ability standing, walking for long periods of time

-Interested in learning about Theatre operations and hospitality

-Enthusiastic about theatre and the performing arts

-Eager to work in a fast pace working environment

-BASSET trained a major plus
