The Communications + Development Intern will work closely with the Alliance staff to strengthen the substance, design and messaging of Arts Alliance Illinois fundraising materials and communications. Projects include marketing and development work on the Chicago Cultural Plan, annual fundraising luncheon event, and advocacy and arts education initiatives.
Arts Alliance Illinois, formed in 1982 to advocate for state funding for the arts, now builds the vitality of communities statewide through service and advocacy, thereby generating resources for the cultural sector and creative industries. Today, the Alliance’s focus areas include statewide civic engagement, arts education, cultural equity, and arts access.
Time Requirement and Compensation
14 – 21 hours/week. This position is unpaid but could serve to fulfill course credit requirements associated with the intern’s academic program. The Alliance will work with the intern to establish a schedule and a calendar.
