Box Office Associate

Chicago Shakespeare Theater is seeking Box Office Associates to assist our patrons on subscriptions, single ticket purchases, and other services.  The most important qualification is an evident desire to cheerfully serve.             

Responsibilities include:

  • Answer incoming phone calls.
  • Handle cash, credit and check sales both on the phone and in person.
  • Help guide patrons through our very flexible subscription package options.
  • Record transactions carefully in our patron database.
  • Be the front line of patron contact with Chicago Shakespeare Theater.

Pay is hourly.

Skills & Qualifications: 


  • Cheerful willingness to be of service.
  • Previous sales and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience with Tessitura a plus.
